Recruitment
Read all the information below, BEFORE posting an application. Please note that regardless of class availability, we are always interested in exceptional players and will attempt to make room for them. If you feel you got what it takes then don't hesitate to apply.

HOW IT WORKS
The process begins by submitting an application in our forums following the style of the [Application] thread, or PM it to an officer. We will most likely respond and ask questions about your application in the recruitment forum, so be sure to answer any questions we have. Please realize that if you expect us to take you seriously, then you need to put forth effort on your application. Detailed, intelligently written, and well thought out applications are far more likely to grab our attention and have a impact, than the classic 5 second answers. If we feel confident you may be the type of person we are interested in from a skill, personality, and reliability standpoint, we will contact you through our forums or in-game for a vent interview.

If you pass the "annoying voice test" and still possess the things we want after more in depth questioning on vent, then you will be invited to the guild as an applicant. You will stay an applicant until we are 100% confident you can be a successful member of the guild, which consists of getting along with everybody, showing up regularly, and playing with a high level of skill. If after 8 Full Raids as an applicant you have failed to win our love for whatever reason, you will be removed and your tryout will be end. If you prove yourself worthy you will be promoted to member and assume full privileges as a Relic raider.

WHAT WE WANT
We are looking for dependable raiders who can show up to at least 75% of our raids, otherwise dont even waste our time. You must have gear and knowledge from end-game content. This consists of people who read up on strats and have gear on par with our current level of progression. We strive to recruit the person, not just the gear, so understand that your application is your opportunity to let us get to know you. Do not expect us to accept you just because you have full tier 6 and choose to write 1 sentence responses for each question we ask. We play this game to have fun, and people who lack personality do not make it fun.

We love to laugh and fuck around, so having a sense of humor is key. Be prepared to be made fun of...alot, our guild thrives on sarcasm. We detest silent, morgue like vents during raids and are particularly interested in people with lively, enjoyable personalities who can add to our witty gchat. The average age of our guild is roughly early to mid twenties, with more trending towards finishing their degrees in college or working full-time. We have no specific age requirement, but we do want members to be mature and adult-like with their actions. We curse, swear, and push the limits of acceptability with our language at times, but there is an underlying theme of respect that we do demand, as well as a certain intelligence and communication level expected. Some of our members are respectful, intelligent, and able to communicate well at an early age while others possess none of those qualities even at the age of 30. So theres your warning.

We are only interested in long-term members. If you do not plan to play WoW or any of the games we play for a long time to come, this probably isn't the best place for you. This also means you need to have a stable enough life to allow you to play this game as your hobby well into the future. That being said, this is not a job, so don't treat it like one. We are not a guild who prefers to raid 40+ hours a week, so we look for individuals who understand that this is a hobby and that world firsts don't pay the bills. That being said, we are by no means casual and push content at the cutting edge, remaining competitive with other top guilds who frequently raid more than us. We just prefer to do all that while keeping things in its proper perspective...a game.

WHAT WE HATE
Talking and joking around are good, but as a recruit, you don't know us well enough to do either regularly. Nothing is more annoying than some jackass who attempts to play along with our inside jokes without having a clue what they refer to. Your tryout is your time to get to know people, get a feel for us, learn who is the easiest to pick on, and all that good stuff. We're not saying don't talk or joke around, just keep it to a minimum. On the flip side, dead silence and never speaking is equally annoying. The key is to find the happy medium.

Everyone wipes a raid at some point - it happens. We can't all play like rockstars all the time. However, you don't want to consistently be screwing things up or causing wipes, trust us. Being lazy is one thing, being a dumbass is another. A dumbass is someone who doesn't have a clue, but doesn't bother to learn. Questions aren't bad, but by the time we start a pull, you better know what you are doing. We won't be happy if you die because you didn't know something and didn't bother to ask. We'll be even less happy if you cause others to die, especially our tanks.

Dont be a casual and do NOT go AFK. You are not a veteran. They have earned their right to AFK and annoy everyone by holding things up through months and months of membership. That being said, if you find yourself constantly bothered, too busy, or afk alot, then this prob isnt the place for you. We raid on a schedule based around "all" of our members free time, so dont be that person to ruin it or hold things up for the other 24 of us.

If you applied simply to have us hand you loot, you came to the wrong place. If you dare to have the balls to whine about not getting items, we won't hesitate to kick you in a swift professional manner. You are raiding with us to prove yourself to the guild and show that you will be an asset and someone we will like. You can assume your pissing and moaning privileges once you have proven your worth and become a veteran.
